- exclamation an expression of male delight at the sight of an attractive female. The word is a mock-Yiddish alteration of ‘swing’ and probably refers to an erection. It originated in the ersatz slang of the cult 1992 film, Wayne’s World, and was subsequently adopted by high-school and college students in the US.
