  • Consisting of, or pertaining to a component, circuit, device, transmission line, signal, or system in which one side, or terminal, of the input and/or output is connected to ground. Thus, that which is single-ended is asymmetric with respect to ground. For instance, a single-ended line, or a single-ended circuit. Also called unbalanced (1).
