  • A manufacturing technique or technology in which a photosensitive material, usually a polymer resin, is formed into the desired shape through the use of a laser which cures said material layer by layer. Used, for instance, to create a solid model directly from CAD data in rapid prototyping. Its abbreviation is SL.
