• A transmission line consisting of one or more thin conductors, usually strips, which are either mounted above, or between conducting surfaces. The conducting surfaces are usually ground planes. An example is a stripline (2).
  • A microwave transmission line consisting of two thin parallel strips, lines, or plates, which are mounted on opposite sides of the same dielectric substrate. Typically, the substrate is flat, and mounted on a ground plane. Also called microstrip line, microstrip transmission line, or microstrip.
