Construction

  • A light structural section used as a secondary structural member, and used in lightweight concrete roof construction to support the formboards over which the lightweight concrete is placed. A component of a stair rail system that runs down the stairs from the top of the string and upon which the balusters are mounted. See also subpurlin.
