• A compound in the calcium aluminoferrite series, having the composition 4CaOAl₂O₃ • Fe₂O₃, abbreviated C₄AF, which is usually assumed to be the aluminoferrite present when compound calculations are made from the results of chemical analysis of Portland cement. See also brown millerite.
