  • The usual billing for Jenny Hill (Elizabeth Pasta; 1851 - 96),an early music hall performer at the Pavilion in London.She began her career by entertaining in East End public houses. Afterbeing deserted by her acrobat husband, she lived for years in poverty.Her act at the Pavilion included such songs as 'The Little Stowaway',dancing, and male impersonations. Ironically the 'Vital Spark' retiredto Streatham in poor health and died at the age of 45.
