  • a large appellation in the Loire valley region of France that produces good red, white and rosé wines. It grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Gamay and Pinot Noir grapes to produce red wines and uses these grapes and Pineau d’Aunis for its rosé wines. White wines are produced from Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc grape varieties.
