  • A speaker system which incorporates three concentric drivers, usually consisting of a tweeter mounted within a midrange, which is itself mounted inside a woofer, so that the sound radiates from a common axis. Alternatively, two smaller speakers may be mounted side-by-side within a larger speaker. Also called triaxial loudspeaker.
