  • Color in which the bit depth is 24, which allows for over 16.7 million possible colors to be displayed. 24 bits means that there are 8 for each of the primary colors, which are red, green, and blue. Each pixel is composed of a trio of color phosphor dots, one for each primary color. Also called 24-bit color.
