ultra-low distortion
Definition
Electronics
- For a given component, circuit, device, equipment, or system category, an especially low percentage of distortion, such as total harmonic distortion. A value that would qualify for this designation will vary by the area in question. For example, an audio amplifier with 0.01% total harmonic distortion and intermodulation distortion at its rated power of 100 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms, from 10 Hz to 60 kHz, would be considered to feature ultra-low distortion. Also spelled ultralow distortion.
