  • A water-soluble vitamin (riboflavin), essential for metabolic processes and for cell maintenance and repair. It is stored in the liver, kidneys and heart muscles. It is widely distributed in all leafy vegetables, in eggs, milk and the flesh of warm blooded animals. Lack of vitamin B2 causes soreness of the lips, mouth, tongue and eyelids. It has no known toxicity.
