- A device, located at the premises of a customer, which performs the proper conversions necessary for the transmission and reception of telephonic conversations through cable TV connections. Such a device may provide for multiple lines, and supports enhanced telephony features such as caller ID, call waiting, and the like, in addition to data services such as broadband data communications.
