- The product obtained by multiplying one volt times one ampere, equivalent to one watt in direct current circuits and to one unit of apparent power in alternating current circuits.
Electronics
- A unit of apparent power. It is defined as the product of the RMS voltage, expressed in volts, by the RMS current, expressed in amperes, of an AC circuit. Also spelled voltampere. Its abbreviation is VA.
