  • A poetic tragedy by Federico García Lorca,first performed in 1934 in Madrid and first seen in London in 1937.Yerma is the second play in a trilogy of folk tragedies thatbegins with Blood Wedding (1933) and is completed by TheHouse of Bernarda Alba (1936). The plot involves the sufferingof a childless gypsy woman who murders her sterile husband.
